This fanlist is for the "Meredith Gentry" series of books by Laurell K Hamilton. It opened up September of 2002.
There are only two books in the series so far but when you pick up the first one, " A Kiss of Shadows," you find out that Meredith is a faerie princess on the run. I'm not going to give anymore away, you'll just have to read the books.
